About the Role We are seeking a Retail Salesperson with a strong knowledge of hunting or fishing to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals with previous retail or customer service experience, as well as those who are passionate about outdoor activities and eager to learn. What We’re Looking For - Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not essential. - A genuine passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. - Friendly and confident communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and helpful advice. - Professionalism, punctuality, and a proactive attitude. - Good computer skills and a willingness to learn our systems (AR POS and CRM). - Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a busy retail environment. - Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays, which are our busiest days. As a Fishing Specialist, you will deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on our fishing department. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers in selecting the right gear and sharing your practical knowledge and experience. You will build strong product knowledge, support general retail sales across the store, and confidently use our retail and CRM systems. A firearms license is preferred, as you will also assist in our Hunting department when needed. As a Hunting Specialist, you should possess a current valid firearms license and have a passion for hunting. You will be open to learning about new hunting technologies, such as thermal imaging and night vision. By familiarizing yourself with these products, you will effectively engage with customers and provide valuable insights. Standard hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM (extended to 4:00 PM during December).
