About the Role We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and skilled Aluminium Fabricator to join our team in Christchurch on a fixed-term basis of 12 months, covering parental leave. We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude and strong technical expertise in window and door fabrication. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality aluminium joinery and assisting with various aspects of the fabrication and factory processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Cutting, machining, assembling, fixing liners, installing hardware, and glazing - Checking and maintaining equipment and tools - Setting up and maintaining a tidy and productive work area - Following job sheets and adhering to agreed timeframes About You Our ideal candidate is a team player who demonstrates diligence and the ability to produce high-quality products for our customers. You should have extensive joinery fabrication knowledge and be prepared to handle a variety of fabrication tasks. To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements: - A minimum of 3 years of experience in aluminium joinery fabrication - High attention to detail and the ability to maintain high productivity levels - A proven work history that demonstrates reliability and commitment - A good level of physical fitness, as the role can be physically demanding - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - A willingness to take on responsibility while exhibiting exceptional diligence and reliability - A commitment to health and safety, leading by example - Pride and ownership in your work, with excellent time management skills Please note that this role involves some heavy lifting, so physical fitness is essential.
