About the Role
We are currently seeking Scaffolders who take pride in their workmanship and possess strong organizational skills. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and erecting scaffolding and working platforms for construction projects, as well as building stands and tiered seating for public events such as concerts and sporting activities.
Your responsibilities will include inspecting areas that require scaffolding, making calculations to determine the appropriate scaffolding needed, unloading materials, fitting tubing and braces together to create frameworks, and installing ladders, rails, and other attachments. Additionally, you will be tasked with checking and maintaining scaffolding equipment, inspecting structures for safety, and dismantling scaffolding upon project completion. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you ideally should have a minimum of one year of relevant scaffolding experience or possess a qualification equivalent to NZQF level 2 or 3. We value friendly individuals with excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic. A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry is essential, along with a solid understanding of health and safety procedures. Reliability and a strong work ethic are crucial attributes for this position.
Benefits
We offer competitive pay ranging from a minimum of $26.00 to a maximum of $32.00 per hour, depending on experience. A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed each week, and this role is permanent and full-time.
Location
As part of our team, you may be required to work in various locations throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
