About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic team in Auckland. This is a permanent position with full-time hours preferred (40 hours per week), although part-time options (24 hours per week) are available. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and training across various disciplines of Cardiac Ultrasound. As the largest teaching hospital in New Zealand, we provide a rich learning environment for our staff.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Cardiology Department at Middlemore Hospital offers both outpatient and inpatient non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular investigations and treatments. Our services include:
- Management of acute and chronic coronary syndromes
- Valvular disorders and rheumatic heart disease
- Temporary and permanent pacing
- Arrhythmias
- Management of heart failure
The Cardiac Investigation Unit, located at the Manukau Surgery Centre, specializes in transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) for both adults and children, as well as transesophageal echocardiograms (TOE), dobutamine stress echocardiograms (DSE), exercise stress echocardiograms (ESE), and contrast and bubble studies.
About You
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Cardiac Sonographers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A university degree with a Cardiac Ultrasound graduate or postgraduate qualification
- Current registration and a practicing certificate
- The ability to register with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) in New Zealand
- A minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualification experience (candidates from overseas should be eligible to apply for registration with the MRTB)

Benefits
