    Rehabilitation Coordinator Te Puna Wai Katea Therapeutic Day Programme Mental Health Addictions Services Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth 0.90 FTE (72 hours per fortnight) Permanent Position About the Company Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to developing a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role We are pleased to invite applications from experienced senior mental health practitioners and leaders for the position of Rehabilitation Coordinator. This new role will be instrumental in operationalizing and delivering our innovative therapeutic group programme at our rehabilitation centre. The group programme will cater to community-based whai ora with serious mental health needs, supporting their recovery and treatment through various aspects such as social vocational skills, medication self-management, healthy lifestyles, self-regulation, mindfulness, and cultural connectedness. As the role develops and key service objectives are achieved, you will also facilitate the residential component, overseeing a four-bedded rehabilitation whare for whai ora requiring intensive residential rehabilitation. About You We are looking for successful candidates who meet the following criteria: - Health practitioners with current APCs and the scope of practice to work in mental health and addiction services, including Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, or Social Workers. - A minimum of five years of experience in acute and/or community-based mental health or addiction services, with a strong background in rehabilitation. - Proven experience in leading or managing clinical teams and establishing successful services. - Excellent clinical knowledge and the ability to provide psychoeducation to whai ora, whanau, and healthcare providers. - A capability to work under pressure, collaborate well in a team environment, demonstrate leadership skills, and contribute positively to service delivery.
