About the Role We are currently seeking a PhotoCentre Operator for our Wairau Park store in the Computers department. This part-time position combines your customer service skills with your photo editing experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and operations of the PhotoCentre, ensuring a positive experience for all our customers. We will provide training on our systems and equipment to support you as you begin your journey with us. Key responsibilities include: - Engaging effectively with customers in the PhotoCentre throughout their experience. - Operating photographic processing equipment while adhering to health and safety standards. - Editing, manipulating, and restoring images according to customer specifications using software such as Photoshop. - Offering a range of PhotoCentre services, including creating image disks or USBs, canvas prints, photo gifts, photo books, calendars, greeting cards, and photo blocks. - Performing cashiering and sales duties as required. About You We are looking for a creative individual who prioritizes customer satisfaction and is mindful of health and safety. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail. - Excellent customer service abilities. - A proactive and professional approach to customer interactions. - Computer literacy and comfort with imaging technology. - Experience in the photographic or image processing industry, particularly with Photoshop, is desirable. - Retail experience is also advantageous. - Availability to work weekends and public holidays is essential.
