About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS) to join our Traffic Management team in Kaitaia, Northland. In this role, you will oversee traffic operations related to various projects, including maintenance, construction, surfacing, and civil works. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of all staff, clients, and the public during these operations.
This position requires flexibility for night, weekend, and shift work, with applicable time and a half and shift allowances.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will:
- Supervise and provide STMS support to the crew
- Read and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMP) on-site
- Liaise with stakeholders, including Engineers, TMP Designers, and Project Managers, to ensure quality and accurate traffic management layouts
- Conduct general traffic management duties to ensure timely layout
- Perform general laborer duties as required
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to the public
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
- An STMS A/B Practicing Certificate
- A Class 1 driver's license, which is essential
- Experience in traffic management and the civil construction industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using devices such as iPads
