About the Role We are committed to delivering the finest Kiwi food products, and our operational teams play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and freshness of the items we store and transport. While you will not be on the road, your focus will be on managing all shipments and orders to and from our Palmerston North depot. You will ensure that deliveries and pickups occur within the agreed timeframes while optimizing truck routes and loading points to maintain efficiency. Key responsibilities will include: - Efficiently planning freight and dedicated services from depot to destination - Proactively communicating operational issues, such as incidents and delivery delays - Creating delivery manifests or run sheets for assigned routes - Arranging and managing overflow volumes as necessary to meet delivery schedules - Ensuring that all source and transit documentation is accurately completed - Preparing consignment notes and job bookings for pallet-rated movements The working hours for this position are from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, totaling 50 hours per week. Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need: - A minimum of 1 year of experience in transport dispatch - Knowledge of transport management systems, with experience using Truck Mate being a significant advantage - A strong understanding of how the FMCG sector operates in New Zealand - Excellent planning, organizing, record-maintaining, and time management skills - Sound geographical knowledge of New Zealand Benefits At Hall's, we offer career stability and opportunities for professional development within our growing company.
