We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Lead / Nurse Manager to join our team.
About the Role
In the role of Nurse Lead / Nurse Manager, you will be central to our medical centre operations. This leadership position involves managing nursing staff, systems, processes, and resources to ensure safe and effective patient care. You will be an integral member of the centre's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and performance improvement, ultimately enhancing health outcomes for our patients and the wider community.
This is a permanent full-time role, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Whether you are taking your first steps into leadership or bringing a wealth of experience, this position offers the opportunity to lead with purpose, backed by Green Cross Health's comprehensive professional development and mentoring programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse clinical team that includes Registered Nurses and Practice Care Assistants.
- Oversee daily nursing operations, including recruitment and resource allocation.
- Balance administrative tasks with hands-on clinical responsibilities.
- Collaborate with centre leadership to develop innovative care models that enhance health outcomes.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and support the continuous professional development of your team.
Key Attributes and Requirements
- Current New Zealand Registered Nurse practicing certificate and CPR certification.
- Proven experience in primary care or accident and medical settings.
- Strong leadership skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective conflict resolution, negotiation, and performance coaching skills.
- Advanced computer literacy and adaptability in managing change.
- A commitment to equitable healthcare delivery, aligned with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Postgraduate qualifications and experience in quality improvement are highly desirable.
